Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox was born in Aberdeen Scotland on December 25 1954. Dorothy Farquharson & Thomas Allison Lennox is the name used by her parents. Lennox had studied for three year at the Royal Academy of Music London in 1970s, was accepted. She was able to survive on her student stipend and work part-time jobs. Lennox did not feel content with her abilities compared to other students at the Royal Academy and began looking for alternative paths. Lennox began her career in the year 1976, in the group called Dragons Playground. But she quit before the band was requested to take part in I.T.V.'s talent contest New Faces. She was the singer in The Tourists a British pop group from 1977 until 1980. As part of this group, she was first introduced to Dave Stewart. Together they will create the Eurythmics pop duo. Lennox began work for Diva in 1992. This was her first solo album. The album had a tremendous success both critically and commercially. Nostalgia Lennox's 6th solo album came out in November of 2014. The C.D. is a selection of Lennoxs favourite blues and soul jazz songs from her childhood. Lepidoptera contains four improvised keyboard tracks. The E.P. First album of hers"Now I'm Letting You Go... was released as the soundtrack to her exhibit of artwork in the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. Annie Lennox born December 25 1954, is an Scottish activist, politician and philanthropist. She is also a musician and singer. The Tourists were a new-wave group who had some success in the late 1970s. In the following years, Lennox was joined by the band with fellow musician Dave Stewart to form the pop duo Eurythmics. Lennox began her solo career in 1992, with the release of Diva, which featured a number of successful songs like Why as well as the song Walking On Broken Glass. Medusa is her studio album from 1995. The album features covers of songs like The No MoreI I Love Yous and A Whiter Shade of Pale. Her six studio solo albums as well as her compilation album have a lot of hits. |
